Every new Partner in Mission at Family of Christ attends New Beginnings. It is a class
of Christian instruction consisting of basic Christian teachings plus a look at the church,
especially the mission, vision, and values of Family of Christ. (This class is also open to current Partners in Mission who would like a review.)
For those new to the Lutheran Church:
If you are new to the Lutheran church or just beginning to learn the faith of the Christian, you will attend one of the options below.
1) One Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (lunch included).
2) Wednesday evenings, 6:45-8:00 p.m. during Family U.
3) Sunday evenings, 5:00-7:30 p.m. during Alpha (dinner included).
For those already confirmed Lutherans:
If you are already a confirmed Lutheran, you will only be expected to attend the last sessions of the Saturday or Wednesday classes which cover a review of the church, particularly God’s vision for Family of Christ. You may also attend the entire Alpha course which meets on Sunday evenings.
1) One Saturday, from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
2) Last two Wednesday evenings of a Family U session, 6:45-8:00 p.m.
3) Sunday evenings, 5:00-7:30 p.m. during Alpha (dinner included).

Option 1: All day Saturday Class, 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (lunch included)
- October 10th, 2009
- January 9th, 2010
- April 10th, 2010
- July 10th, 2010
(Confirmed Lutherans choose one of these classes and attend from 1:00-3:00 p.m.)
Option 2: Family U Wednesday Evening Classes, 6:45-8:00 p.m. (two different sessions)
- September 16th-November 18th, 2009
- January 6th-February 10th and April 7th-May 19th, 2010 (this session breaks for the Lent/Easter Season)
(Confirmed Lutherans choose one of these sessions and attend the last two classes).
Option 3: Alpha Course Sunday Evening Classes, 5:00-7:30 p.m. (dinner included)
- September 20th-November 29th, 2009
- January 10th-May 23rd, 2010
(Everyone chooses one of these entire sessions).
